Welcome! I am Iris, and I am an avid believer of combining casual elegance, comfort, with a touch of flair with all things in life, whether it be within the context of a distinctive pair of shoes, an overwhelmingly gorgeous piece of music, or most importantly, a tantalizing bit of nourishment. I also happen to have a very rare autoimmune disorder called Neuro Myalitis Optica, (NMO). As a result of multiple relapses, a great deal of my vision was lost in December 2015 and I have spent a good deal of time adjusting to exploring my passions in a different way than I had in the past.
One of my great passions in life has always been the creation of exceptional food, whether it be from my home kitchen, or from my younger days, the professional kitchens I have worked in. These past two years have taught me different approaches in food preparation and plating, and I aim to bring to you some of my favorite standby recipes, and hope that you will be along the ride with me as I learn new kitchen techniques as well as every visually impaired person’s nightmare of cooking - baking bread and pastry confections.
